What’s New With Praying For Our Children | Prayer Services

Staying engaged and active in the community around us is important to our cause.  Encouraging and supporting families and children is a mission that never ceases.  Some of our current efforts include:

F.R.E.E.: We invite Single Parent Families to be F.R.E.E. We want you to join us for The Family Restoration ExperiencE  (formerly Camp P.R.A.Y.). We are now accepting applications for our upcoming camp. It is a 7-day camp offering  a rewarding experience with benefits that can last a lifetime!

FIRST TUESDAYS:  The first Tuesday of each month is designated for uplifting prayer.  First Tuesday’s are a time for encouragement, and spiritual support. Our monthly prayer call from 6:00 – 6:30 p.m. EST, the first Tuesday of every month, people are encouraged to join a group to pray for the well-being of children. To ensure the comprehensive nature of our work is represented, the name of this program has changed from Camp P.R.A.Y. to the Family Restoration ExperiencE ( F.R.E.E. ) . It is more than a 7-day camp. It is an experience that last a year with a lifetime of benefits!

Why We Offer This Program?

In the natural progression of life, children test their boundaries. This is particularly true during adolescence and in the best of circumstances, family bonds are stressed. The adolescent may begin to act out in ways that are inappropriate and at times, dangerous. Parents often find themselves completely helpless and bewildered to find solutions or support. Middle class single parents are particularly distressed because they do not qualify for government sponsored programs and do not have the financial resources to access private help.

The Benefits Of Camp P.R.A.Y.

Family serves as our core unit of connection, fulfillment and love in so many ways. When family bonds become strained, it can leave us feeling hurt, estranged and overwhelmed.  Restoring healthy family relationships is so important. A family that functions in harmony is paramount to every family member’s spiritual and emotional well being.  Camp P.R.A.Y. is all about family unity, cooperation and cohesion.

Camp P.R.A.Y. is a 7-day retreat for both parent and child that give them an opportunity to reconnect. During the camp, discussions are held to address family dynamics, improve communication and reestablish healthy parent-child relationships. As a part of the Camp P.R.A.Y. experience, fun outdoor activities are designed to both challenge and excite both parent and child.  We also include spiritual exercises, meditation, nature walks and financial fitness classes. Ultimately, the parent/child union is strengthened and family wholeness begins the restoration process. When you take this journey with us, a transformed life waits for you at the end of it.
